From city blocks to country silos, the last decade has seen street art techniques and mural traditions scale new and exhilarating heights. In an expanding urban world, these towering art projects are one eye-catching way to splash colour and humanity into public spaces.

Celebrated Adelaide street artist Vans the Omega has assembled an international dream team of visual and conceptual artists and set them loose upon the city’s west end.

These seven projects give artists and audiences alike a chance to reinterpret and respond to the architecture and social fabric of urban spaces, and how we use, share and shape a sense of place.

The Big Picture Series features Andrew Hem (USA), Askew (NZ), Sarah Boese, Tom Borgas, Dave Court, Zoe Kirkwood, Filip Roca, and Vans the Omega.

A map of locations for these artists will be announced in June.

Presented as part of City Lights, located in the West Precinct
