Masks will be required for entry to this event, and will need to be worn for the duration. We strongly encourage you to consider our environment and come prepared with your own mask.
Admission Times
Please arrive at the Ginkgo Gate for your allocated session time as early and late admissions will not be possible. Sessions begin every 15 minutes – admission is as per the session time you have booked for.
Duration
This is a self-guided event on a curated immersive one-way linear path - please allow 60-90 minutes to enjoy the full Light Cycles experience.
Getting There
Adelaide Botanic Garden - entry and exit is from Frome Road (Ginkgo Gate).
Closing Time
The Ginkgo Gate will be closed 15 minutes after the last session of the evening begins - patrons will not be admitted after this time.
Age Suitability
Light Cycles is suitable for all ages. Children under 4 are free of charge but need to register for a ticket at the time of purchase.
Ticket Prices
General Admission - $40.00 per person
Group (4 or more people) - $38.00 per person. To book for more than 4 people, please click the + during the booking process on I Wanna Ticket. Each person must show a ticket for entry.
Under 4 years of age are free, however a $0.00 ticket is required for entry as the event's COVID requirements are that every person is ticketed.
A merchant service fee of 2% applies.
No concessions apply to this event.
Payment is by credit card only - no cash payments.
Weather Policy
This event will go ahead rain or shine. We would recommend wearing adequate clothing and footwear suited to the time of year and weather conditions on the day for an outdoor event and bring an umbrella in case of rain. There is no cloakroom for this event.
Prohibited Items
Please note that animals, chairs, eskies, BYO alcohol, DSLR cameras, video equipment, tripods and drones are prohibited.
Photos & Photography Equipment
Take as many photos as you want with your phone, and don't forget to #IlluminateAdelaide when you post them. However, please note that due to the size and obstruction of lenses, professional photography equipment (DSLR cameras video equipment, tripods and drones) will not be admitted in the Garden. The flow of the event and our COVID safe management capacity requires us to keep the audience moving without obstruction on the path.
Accessibility
Adelaide Botanic Garden is easy to navigate with paved and bitumen paths. There is a small section of the path that is not easily accessible via wheelchair but can be by-passed. Please contact Illuminate Adelaide for more information.

Please be advised this event includes smoke, haze, dark pathways, uneven terrain and flashing lights.
Parking
Ample street parking is available on Plane Tree Drive. Undercover garage parking available at the Wilson Parking – Lot Fourteen Car Park, adjacent to the Light Cycles entrance. Wilson Parking offer Illuminate Adelaide audiences 20% off weekend and night parking at select locations for bookings made online. More information at Wilson Parking

Toilets are located on-site at Adelaide Botanic Garden.
Seating within the event
There are benches located throughout the Garden if you need to rest a while.
On-site box office hours
30 minutes before the first session of the evening until 15 minutes after the start of the last session of the evening.
