South Australia’s favourite winter festival returns to brighten Adelaide once again this July, with a program of captivating events inspiring visitors to explore our wonderful city.

The innovation of this festival never ceases to amaze, presenting the newest and best creativity from around the world and our own backyard. Some of the highlights in the 2025 program include Night Visions transforming Adelaide Botanic Garden, Horizons at our iconic Adelaide Oval, and of course, the return of everyone’s favourite free event – City Lights.

The beauty of Illuminate Adelaide is there is something for everyone, from a host of accessible family-friendly events to a mind-blowing music lineup.

For the foodies, Illuminate Adelaide will see some of our city’s most renowned restaurants create memorable eatery experiences, such as Botanic Lodge, East End Cellers, and Adelaide Central Market – plus a special sensory experience at Chalk Hill Wines in the Fleurieu Peninsula.

In 2024, Illuminate Adelaide welcomed more than 1.3 million attendances across the festival, generating $74.5 million in economic activity for our State - an incredible contribution especially in what is traditionally our off-peak season. More than 23,500 interstate and overseas ticketed visitors were delighted by the festival and discovered why South Australia is a leading events destination.
