General

How do I buy tickets?

Illuminate Adelaide utilises different ticketing agencies for different shows and venues. Please check each event page to see which ticketing provider you need to purchase your ticket from. There will be contact information on each event page if you need further assistance.

Can I bring my kids?

Please check each event page for specific ticket prices and what age ranges free ticketing applies to.  

Can I pay with cash?

No, we are a cashless event.

How do I attend free events?

Some free events require registration while other events you can arrive on the day. Please check individual event pages for details.

What if it rains?

Illuminate Adelaide events are all-weather and will go ahead, rain or shine. We recommend wearing adequate clothing and footwear suited to the time of year and weather conditions on the day.

How do I enter the events?

Venue staff will scan your tickets for entry - please print out your tickets or have them ready to show on your phone. If you prefer to print out your tickets at home, make sure you place them in the correct recycling bin afterwards.

What time do I arrive at my event?

The starting time of each show is on your ticket. Latecomers may not be allowed entry. Illuminate Adelaide has provided approximate durations for each event (subject to change) where possible.  We will continue to update our website with extra information as it comes. We would recommend arriving early to your event to ensure you’re on time.

 

Tickets

How do I book?

Online - the best way to grab your tickets is online. Simply click the BOOK button on each event to be directed to its official and authorised ticket seller.

On the phone - our friendly staff are happy to answer any queries and help you find the right ticketing agency for the event you’re after. Call us on 1300 496 623 and we’ll point you in the right direction.

In person - Illuminate Adelaide will have box offices set up at select events during select opening hours. We will provide more information on box office hours closer to the event. Please note that Illuminate Adelaide is a cashless event.

How do I receive my tickets?

To keep our event COVID Safe and reduce our environmental footprint, all tickets will be emailed and can be scanned by venue staff from your phone. If you prefer to print out your tickets at home, make sure you place them in the correct recycling bin afterwards.

How do I enter the events?

Please print out your tickets or have them ready to show on your phone for scanning for entry. 

What do I do if I have lost my ticket?

We can resend your ticket if you have lost your confirmation email. Get in touch with the Illuminate Adelaide ticketing team or the ticket provider listed on the event page who will be happy to help.

Am I entitled to a Concession ticket price?

Children (under 18), patrons holding a Pensioner Concession Card, Centrelink Health Care card, Seniors Card or Veteran Card; and Full-time students are entitled to concession prices on tickets for certain Illuminate Adelaide events. Proof of valid concession may be requested at the time of purchase and may be required upon entry to the venue.


Children aged under 4 years are able to attend Light Cycles, Light Creatures, Electric Playground and Ouchhh Studio | Wisdom of AI Light free of charge but a $0 ticket is required for entry.

 

How do Group ticket bookings work?

Where tickets are purchased at the Group price - including Family tickets for Ice Skating - each person must show a ticket for entry.

Fees and Charges

Advertised ticket prices are in $AUD and include GST where applicable. Advertised ticket prices are exclusive of credit card Merchant Service fees (MSF). The MSF is calculated at 2% of the entire dollar value of each order. The MSF is the only transaction fee "outside" or " in addition" to the transaction.

Ticket Sellers

Illuminate Adelaide is partnering with a number of trusted ticket sellers to deliver our event. For more information please visit our Terms and Conditions of Sale here.

Unauthorised Ticket Sellers

Be safe and only purchase tickets through our trusted ticketing agencies. Tickets purchased through unauthorised resellers such as eBay, Viagogo, Gumtree, Marketplace or similar platforms may be fraudulent and will not guarantee entry to our events.

 

COVID-19

Where can I get COVID safe updates?

Illuminate Adelaide will be delivered under approved COVID-Safe plans and in adherence to the latest information at hand from SA Health at the time of the event. For the latest COVID-Safe restrictions and responsibilities, please visit our COVID-Safe Event Page

 

Access

How do I know if an event is accessible?

Illuminate Adelaide events and venues each have individual access information depending on their location. You will find this information under the Accessibility heading under each event page.

How do I buy accessible seating?

Feel free to call the Illuminate Adelaide team or the ticketing provider listed on the event page to discuss accessible seating options and help you book your tickets.

Can I use my Companion Card?

Illuminate Adelaide honours the companion card scheme, bookings can be made at the venue box office for Light Cycles, Ouchhh and Electric Playground and Ice Skating at the time of attendance. Please have your companion card ready to present.

For Gorillaz and The Avalanches please phone Ticketek on 1300 665 915.

For Light Creatures please phone Adelaide Zoo on 8267 3255.

Please present your valid companion card at the box office on the day to redeem your companion ticket.

For free events and a Companion Card is not required.

National Relay Service

The National Relay Service is a government initiative that allows people who are Deaf, hard of hearing and/or have a speech impairment to make and receive phone calls. Bookings can be placed through the National Relay Service as part of Accesshub. Just call 133 677, then dial 1300 496 623.
