Last chance to catch the groundbreaking entourage on their Australian tour in one of the biggest music events to hit Adelaide this year
Way back when at the turn of the millennium, Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett smashed art, music and technology together to create the world’s greatest virtual band. Now – having turned this playful experiment into an enduring and innovative global phenomenon - 2D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle and Russel Hobbs are set to storm Adelaide Entertainment Centre for a special extra show added just for Illuminate Adelaide.
Returning to the SA stage for the first time in over a decade, the BRIT and Grammy Award-winning supergroup will bring their genre-hopping blend of hip hop, rock and dance to life with a 20-piece ensemble led by Albarn and an all-star army of collaborators. Performing tracks across their seven album catalogue from Clint Eastwood and Demon Days to 2020’s Strange Timez, the band might be virtual – but the feeling is so good.
Moonchild Sanelly will join Gorillaz, opening the night armed with a list of empowering new tracks from her recently released album, Phases.
Whilst it is not mandatory to wear masks to enter Gorillaz we encourage patrons to protect themselves by wearing a mask.
"…this spectacle of a show creates what you can only call feel-good magic."
